Absolute Hand History Features

While playing on Absolute Poker your recent hand history is easily accessed. An instant hand history viewer can be opened by clicking on the blue 'Hand History' button that displays in a silver bar at the top of every table window. This will open up a window with two boxes. The top lists all of your saved hands in order of how recent they are, and the bottom displays the details for whatever hand is currently selected.

In order to ensure that your hand histories are being saved to your computer you must first click on the 'Options...' menu in the instant hand history viewer. Once the Options pop up, ensure that the 'Save My Hands History' box is checked. There is also an option to decide for how long your hands will be saved before they are deleted - the default being 30 days. To find your hand history outside of the software go to 'C:\Program Files\Absolute Poker\HandHistory\[Your Username]', where they will be saved in a text file.

Absolute Overview

The CEREUS Network, formed by Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet, remain one of the few places where US players are still accepted. Their creation of this new network has birthed one of the largest poker networks in existence, giving internet players a wealth of opportunity and variety to choose from.

This variety is immediately reflected in the number of games on offer at Absolute. Limit, No-Limit and Pot-Limit Hold 'em are available, as you might expect, but they are joined by Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo, Razz, H.O.R.S.E, and H.O.S.E.

As with many online operators, most of the action is concentrated towards to low-mid stakes, with only a few of the high-stakes games running at any one time. This is true for both cash and Sit and Go's, with games above $2/$4 and $40 difficult to find at off-peak hours. There is a good selection of multi-table tournaments, with a wide variety of small guarantees running throughout the day everyday. For the greatest value however, you need to wait until Sundays, when the $200K guarantee is played.

In order to reward their most loyal players, Absolute award points, known as CREDITS, which allow you to progress through a VIP system called FAME. Points are earned for both cash games and tournaments, in the former, relative to the number of raked hands played, and in the latter, relative to the size of the tournament fees. The specific number of points earned in cash games depends upon the stakes you are playing, but for tournaments you receive one credit for every $0.30 you pay in fees. As well as helping you move up the VIP ladder, credits earned can be used to buy into special tournaments or to purchase goods in the Absolute Poker store.
