DoylesRoom Hand History Features
Hand Histories are no more than a couple of clicks away at any point. Clicking on the 'Preferences' button in the main lobby, and then selecting 'Hand History' from the pop up menu will call up the viewer. To find the hand you are looking for you simply enter how far back (in either hands or days) you want the program to search, click a button, and all the hands from the specified time period will be displayed. If you're looking for something specific then the Advanced Search options allow you to select the type of game and even the table at which the hand was played. Be sure to check the hand history preferences (accessible from a tab in the viewer) to see that the length of time that the Doyle's Room saves your hand history is set to your preference.
The process for saving hand histories onto your computer is just as simple. A small 'Export' button in the bottom left of the viewer will bring up a window that allows you to save the histories as a text file anywhere on your computer. Although you have complete freedom about where to store your files, the default location is 'C"\Microgaming\Poker\DoylesRoomMPP'.
DoylesRoom Overview
Doyle's Room is the former online home of poker's elder statesman, Doyle Brunson. Although many players are drawn to the site by the poker legend's reputation, they stay thanks to a wide selection of games, a unique and striking design, and renowned customer service. Starting out on the iPoker network, Doyle's Room migrated to the well known Microgaming network in 2007, then Cake, and now it resides on the Yatahay Poker Network.
A wide selection of deposit options allow you to get your money onto the site with relative ease, and once your account is well stocked there are a wide variety of stakes and games to choose from. Although there are a number of different limits to choose from, most levels above $3/$6 are a ghost town off-peak. It's a similar story for the non Hold 'em games, and it can be difficult to find a game for Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud, 5 Card Stud, 5 Card Draw or Razz. Omaha, however, seems a little more popular than average here.
Sit and go's, on the other hand, seemed to be flourishing, even at times of lower traffic. Low and mid stakes were still far and away the most popular, but there are at least a few of the high stakes tables running at any one time. The multi-table tournament section also offers a selection of buy-ins and styles that should compliment most players. Sadly lacking, however, are the numbers of guaranteed tournaments you can find on other sites - although the $150,000 guaranteed tournament held every Sunday is still of a good size. If you're on the look out for Doyle himself then your best bet are the regular bounty tournaments.
